Dear friends of Lake Edge Cottages,
Since our re-opening on June 6th this year, we’ve been very fortunate to have had such respectful and courteous guests under this new pandemic era that has impacted all our lives. As resort owners, we take great pride and comfort in seeing our guests and their families have fun & relax in a relatively safe environment, as you re-connect with extended family members and friends during this new-normal.
Being a 4-season resort, we plan to be open again this winter, and with some additional Covid guidelines in place to continue to ensure that we can continue to offer everyone (including ourselves) a great Lake Edge experience in a relatively safe environment.
As of November 1st, we are limiting use of our resort office to emergencies only. Examples being use of our land-line phone and first aid kit. In rare cases where we are temporarily off-site, guests will also have access to needed cottage supplies from our office, provided they sanitize their hands upon entry.
During this winter season, client payments will be limited to e-transfer and credit card (remote) only. We will not be accepting cash, cheque or walk-in credit card payments as a means to limit common touch points among staff, guests and visitors. That said, for credit card payments only, there will be a 3% surcharge added to your invoice when paying your balance. There will be no surcharge added to upfront deposits upon booking your accommodation.
We will continue to practice social distancing of at least 6 feet at all times. If this is not possible then a mask must be worn. Further, our fish-hut will be off-limits, and we will continue to have a blue bin at the door where guests will leave their bagged compost.
