How to get to Lake Edge Cottages from popular locations in Ontario
From Toronto & Points West
- Hwy 401 East to Bowmanville.
- Exit at Hwy 115 North towards Peterborough.
- Do not exit at Peterborough.
- Continue to follow Hwy 115 to Hwy 7 East to Ottawa. (right hand merge; do not go through the lights at Television Road)
- Follow Hwy 7 East for 7 kms. Turn left at the set of lights onto Hwy 28 (formerly 134) to Bancroft (Coffee Time and McCloskey manufacturing on the corner)
- Follow Hwy 28 for 15 kms, over the railroad tracks and through 1st set of lights. (Butter Tart Factory on North East Corner)
- You will come to a second set of lights at Hwy 28 and Stoney Lake Road (Cnty Road 6) Go straight through the intersection and continue on towards Young’s Point/Bancroft for about 4 kms.
- Turn left onto Lake Edge Road (Steve’s Auto Repair is on the right hand side). Lake Edge Cottages is at the end of Lake Edge Road.
- If you miss the left hand turn for Lake Edge Road, continue on to Young’s Point, turn around and double back.
Driving Directions from Ottawa
- Hwy 7 West towards Peterborough
- After passing through Norwood, turn right onto Hwy 28 (formerly Hwy 134) to Bancroft (Coffee Time and McCloskey Brothers manufacturing on the right-hand corner)

- 3 driveways past the blue Lake Edge Cottages sign, turn left onto Lake Edge Road. Lake Edge Cottages is at the end of this road. You will see Steve’s Auto Repair on your right directly across from Lake Edge Road.
- If you miss the left hand turn for Lake Edge Road, continue on to Young’s Point, turn around and double back.
From Kingston
- Hwy 401 West to Port Hope.
- From Port Hope take County Rd. 28 North.
- After passing through Fraserville, take Hwy 115 north towards Peterborough.
- Do not exit at Peterborough.
- Continue to follow Hwy 115 to Hwy 7 East to Ottawa.
- Turn left at the 2nd set of lights onto Hwy 28 (formerly Hwy 134) to Bancroft (Coffee Time and McCloskey Brothers manufacturing on the NE corner)
- Follow Hwy 28 for 15 kms, over the railroad tracks and through the 4-way stop.
- You will come to a new intersection with lights at Hwy 28 and Stoney Lake Road (Cnty Road 6) Go straight through the intersection and continue on towards Young’s Point/Bancroft for about 4 kms.
